She walks to the beat of her own drum, and he brings a steadiness that lets her be fully herself. That balance was everywhere in their wedding: bold and elegant, intimate and expansive, highly considered but never stiff. Laura walked herself down the aisle in a red veil at her parents’ lakefront home, into a celebration that felt entirely on their terms.

Creating a world
Baciare Events understood the assignment. They transformed a multi-level backyard into a magical affair glowing against the lake. The evening moved through two distinct worlds. Dinner unfolded formally beside the lake, with candlelight, flowers, and every detail beautifully composed. Later, everyone crossed into the second tent, while the mist moved over the water, the energy loosened and the party took over. I loved that the wedding made room for both: Laura’s intensity, vision, and instinct for beauty, alongside Matt’s relaxed warmth. Nothing had to be reduced to a single tone.
