The best photographs are the ones where you forgot I was there.
The second best are the ones where you trusted me enough to be still.

I work best when you aren’t thinking about me. When you’re laughing with your guests, caught up in the vows, or simply inside the day you’ve spent so long imagining.

I move through a wedding paying attention to what’s unfolding around me: the dad who loses it when he sees his daughter, the room erupting over a perfectly delivered speech, the glance between two people when no one else is watching.

My photographs tend toward the romantic and restrained. I’m drawn to beautiful light, thoughtful composition, and the small gestures that make an image feel like more than a record of what happened. I know when to step in and give direction, and when to disappear and let something happen.

After twenty years of photographing weddings, I know the images you’ll return to aren’t always the ones you expected. They’re the ones where something real was happening and someone was paying close enough attention to catch it.
