I met Maddy and Danny in Costa Rica, long before I photographed their wedding. By the time we arrived at Foxfire Mountain House, they were no longer just clients. They were dear friends. The whole weekend felt like them: barefoot, playful, thoughtful, and surrounded by people who were part of the making of it. Their friends sang, married them, sweet Pup Franklin stood nearby, and nobody had to wonder whether these two had found their person.

Ritual + Ceremony
Maddy and Danny did not step into someone else’s idea of a wedding. They built a ceremony from the things that already mattered to them: bare feet on the earth, sage smoke and sunny marigold flowers, music made by friends, their dog close by, and a circle of people who knew how to hold the moment with them. It was intentional and deeply felt, but never overly serious. That balance felt entirely their own.
