Emily & Awesome John

Emily & John met in grad school in DC in Arabic class. John had recently returned from a backpacking trip in Syria, and in Emily’s words, “looked insane”. So when John asked, “Do you like food?” she OBVIOUSLY said yes… and that’s how they had their first date. hahaha, isn’t that awesome?! Awesome John {as we fondly refer to him} has a way with words, wouldn’t you say?! We’re glad Emily said yes, because we had an absolute GAS at their wedding. John’s dad graciously postponed his plans for a cherry orchard so these two could host a personal, relaxed and classy affair in his gorgeous backyard overlooking the water. Emily called it “the best picnic you’ve ever been to, on some mild steroids”, and we concur! Everything was designed to the nines! With happy little red, white and blue accents everywhere you turned- we were in heaven! And Emily & John put us over the top: so down-to-earth, so in love, and SO willing to do whatever we wanted, ha! Ya can’t ask for more: enjoy!
